The new year has begun, and there has been plenty to do in the flower field to get it ready for summer. Hard frosts in December delayed the building of the third greenhouse until this month but at last sowing is underway!

The field was planted with daffodils, tulips, aliums and blue bells in Autumn and I hope to make them a huge feature of our Easter bouquets. The hardy-annuals sown in the greenhouse last year are coming on beautifully and should provide a wonderful show in summer.
